The PCB layout review has been held (3 people from BE/CO reviewed) and some minor issues have been raised that may improve signal quality and some estethics of the board.

Three persons from BE/CO have reviewed the PCB layout. The possible improvements will be discussed on 5 July.

The assembly of the boards started and the firmware development is progressing. A Draft software manual is available with screenshots that give a good impression of the look-and-feel.

This new version includes a pipelined mode to cater for devices with high throughput and high latency such as DDR RAM chips. See the draft in Document.

23-06-2010: Layout files received and being reviewed
The PCB layout is finished and is being reviewed. If no major issues will be found the production will be launched for the beginning of July. Layout time was about 320 hours.

After having seen the complexity of the FMC PCI carrier project, with its many resources that are likely not used for many applications and that increase the cost, it has been decided to make a cost optimised version of this card.

10-06-2010: PCB layout OK. Prototype building starts.
The PCB layout has been verified and is OK. The PCB boards and all components are ordered and will arrive end of June at the company. As next step the firmware will be written.
