It was tight, but we made it; our first 4 prototypes have arrived and Simon is busy setting them to work. Thanks to everyone that helped! Current testing focus is on the processor subsystem.

20-12-2010: FPGA programming OK. VME access works.
Test code is loaded in the System FPGA and the PROM is programmed. Both JTAG and PROM loading are working. VME access works using the same VME core as used on the DAB module.

During Christmas nanoFIP will be running: - in loopback memory mode - with var size 124 bytes - with macrocycle 100 ms - with cable length >1 klm. All the equipment is under UPS to avoid problems from small power cuts.

Using the DAT_I and DAT_O pins of the test board and with nanoFIP in stand-alone mode, we have managed to create a nanoFIPDIAG running with the standard software. After more than 3 complete days in the same segment with a cryo crate, we have seen no errors!

Basic Ethernet switching demonstrated
The WR v2 switch demonstrated real-life Ethernet packet switching in the last WR developer meeting by transferring a big video file between two laptops.

10-12-2010: PCIe communication to Wishbone registers working
The communication chain of writing and reading Wishbone registers inside the Xilinx via the Gennum PCIe bus interface is working.
